it was my mom's birthday, i didn't have much time, i needed a gift, something quick & dirty, so to speak. Something easy-peasy lemon squeezy using a fancy hand-painted silk - low skill but very impressive looking to unseasoned knitters. 


Size
37cm (14.5") x 305cm (60") unstretched
keep in mind that the fabric stretches quite a bit, especially if it is made in silk, and that the pattern naturally slants on a bias so the ends will be slanted.


Materials

• 2 Skeins of Handmaiden Silk Spun: 100g/150m, 100% silk, on 6mm 16sts = 4". 

        Unfortunately it looks like Silk Spun has been discontinued, it is a nubbly silk that calls for a 6mm needle.
    Good substitutes:
        2 skeins of Handmaiden Rumple Silk holding 2
         strands together
        3 skeins of Needful Geranium.
